Athletics
Playing a team sport with our friends and classmates builds camaraderie, is an opportunity to develop physical skills, and is a lot of fun!
At St. Therese School, we provide a terrific enrichment opportunity for our 4-8th grade students through organized sports teams. We compete in the South Side Youth Organization (SSYO) League with over 20 other participating schools. This organization is comprised of south metro parochial and non-public schools. They offer competitive programs, for boys and girls, in a Christian atmosphere.
EXPERIENCE & COACHES
Development of character and respect for all is emphasized across the league just as much as athletic ability. All students are encouraged to participate regardless of skill, size or experience. At St. Therese, sports are a great way to get to know peers and take the opportunity to try a new sport or refine current skills.
Volunteer parents, along with STS alumni, often serve as coaches. This is another great way for parents to share their leadership, skills and have fun with student atheletes!
