Why St. Therese?

Known by name

Families choose St. Therese for many reasons. Here are the ones we hear most.

Faith woven through everything

Your child will encounter Christ every day: daily prayer, weekly all-school Mass, quiet Adoration and a community that treats faith as lived, not scheduled.

The PreK-8 advantage

Research over the past decade shows the K-8 model gives students a more positive view of their academic abilities, a stronger sense of community, teachers who have known them since kindergarten, and cross-grade leadership through programs like Buddies. Our graduates transition into high school confident, academically prepared and kind.

Small classes, known children

With an average class size of 21 and an 8:1 student-faculty ratio, teachers know each child’s story. Intimate classroom settings are how we realize each student’s unique potential.

Results that follow them

Our graduating 8th graders test in the top 1% of the nation in both math and reading, and most succeed in honors or AP coursework in high school.

A campus like no other

Twenty-three acres with an Outdoor Learning Center that is the first of its kind in the west metro, a DNR-certified school forest for maple tapping and exploring, and Grandfriends next door at Deephaven Woods senior living, where students learn compassion across generations.

Breakfast and Lunch

Free breakfast and lunch for all K-8 students through the National School Lunch & Breakfast Program, prepared on-site daily. Busing within the Minnetonka School District. After-school care, enrichment and athletics on campus.
