Pre-K Program

Ready for kindergarten

The Pre-K year is the bridge between preschool and kindergarten, and at St. Therese it comes with some special privileges.

Time with school specialists

In their Pre-K year, children visit the Music, Art, Physical Education and Spanish teachers of St. Therese School when schedules allow, and all preschool students have daily exposure to music and art in their classrooms. We value these experiences highly as children prepare for their school career.

Mass Buddies

Once your child is four years old, he or she participates in school Masses. Pre-K students are matched with a Mass Buddy from an older grade to attend Mass each week with the rest of the school community, a friendly hand to hold and a role model to watch.

Grandfriends and STS Buddies

Your child will play games and have fun with their Grandfriends at Deephaven Woods senior living, experiencing compassion through intergenerational friendship. Preschoolers also interact with older St. Therese students through our Buddies program and Virtue Houses, giving our youngest learners a friend and role model to look up to.

Ready for what comes next

By the end of the Pre-K year, children have grown in early literacy, early math, social skills and faith, and they know the campus, the teachers and the older students who will welcome them into kindergarten.
