Tori Sweeney

My name is Tori Sweeney, and I’m so excited to be joining the St. Therese community as the new Band Director! Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to share that passion with students every day. Since moving to Minnesota six years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a music director with various schools, churches, and theaters. I am coming from teaching Preschool-8th Grade Music at Our Lady of the Lake in Mound and I serve as the Choir Director at St. Mark’s Church in Shakopee.  I also work as the music director with Mound Westonka High School and Orono Middle School for their musical productions. Teaching in a Catholic school is something that’s very close to my heart. My faith is the foundation of who I am, and I believe deeply in the mission of Catholic education. I love that I get to help students grow not only as musicians, but also as kind, thoughtful people rooted in faith. I’m really looking forward to making music with my students and leading a band program that’s full of energy, creativity, and joy.
