Academic Support Teacher, Middle School Math and Social Studies Teacher
BA in elementary education from St. Catherine University, with a concentration in middle school social studies
I love teaching at St. Therese because of the strong sense of community that exists here. From the first time I walked through the doors of this school, I knew that this was a place I wanted to come to work every day. Everyone I met was so inviting and I already felt like I belonged here even before I was hired. After graduating from St. Kate’s, I spent two years subbing before I ended up at St. Therese in the fall of 2012. I spent my first six years at STS working in the infant room. I loved working with babies every day, but in 2018 I decided to answer the call to return to K-12 teaching. I became the academic support teacher here, in addition to teaching a 6th grade math class and 8th grade social studies. I love my job because of the variety it gives me. I get to teach multiple subjects to students in multiple grade levels, and I work with most students one-on-one or in small groups which allows me to get to know my students very well.
